Churchill Strong was born on Oct 3 1778 in Bolton, CT.
NOTE:He was educated as a physician, and became an assistant surgeon in the
United States Army. He settled at Knoxville, Tenn. Dr. Joseph C. and Martha
(Alvord) Strong had two sons, Robert Nelson Strong, M. D. and Benjamin Rush
Strong, M. D. both well-known physicians, the latter at Tuscumbia, Ala.
