NOTE: NOTE: Colonel Goodrich was born May 4, 1667. He was a very able and enterprising
man, especially prominent in military affairs, in the indian troubles from 1701
on. He was advanced successively from sergeant to captain, adjutant, and quartermaster
of the troops raised for the releif of Hamphshire County. Again in 1723 he commanded
a company, and was a member of the Colonial War Committee. In 1725 he ranked
as colonel. He was a justice of the peace and, except for a year, he represented
Wethersfield as deputy to the General Court from 1716 to 1740. He died Jan.
23, 1755. Prudence, his wife, died May 9, 1752. Prudence Churchill and Colonel
